About Us
Empowering Science Education Through Practical Innovation
Innovative Science Solutions was founded by Mr. Phillip Baka, a passionate and experienced science educator with over 30 years of teaching experience. His journey through classrooms across South Africa and beyond revealed a troubling reality — in most African schools, science is taught without practical application. Students are often expected to memorise theories without ever touching the tools or equipment that bring those concepts to life.
Mr. Baka saw this gap not just as a challenge, but as a call to action.
After decades of helping students succeed and mentoring young teachers, he realised that the key to true understanding in science lies in hands-on experience. He envisioned an Africa where every science classroom is equipped with affordable, quality laboratory tools — where students are not just taught science, but do science.
From this vision, Innovative Science Solutions was born.
